5 WordPress Plugin that makes my blogging life easier

Thanks God it was not another beauty post. As much as I love writing about beauty-related content, I’m trying to bring mix of blog post around here before September end. Hope you all love it. So, today I thought that I’d share my top 5 favorite WordPress plugin that makes my blogging life way easy than it look. Note that I have only been blogging from for a year now and it was great as per mentioned in my post here (check it out if you haven’t – shameless promo, hee) but not necessarily mean that I’m sort of PRO.

So, what’s plugin? Why is it so important? Basically, plugins are ways to extend or add to the functionality that already exist in WordPress.

The core of WordPress is designed to be lean and lightweight, to maximize flexibility and minimize code bloat. Plugins then offer custom functions and features so that each user can tailor their site to their specific needs. (Source)

Or in other word, not everyone will need the same plugin as you do and there is plugin for everything. It’s insanely amazeball. Without further ado, let check out my top 5 (+ 1 because I’m generous) WordPress Plugin below.

Askimet Anti-Spam

I hate spam comments. There are unrelate-able and messy. Askimet Anti-Spam plugin make my blogging life easy by automatically detected any spam comments on my blog and remove it. I can get about hundred of spam comment everyday and it’s insane. If you are facing the same problem with your blog, I definitely recommend this plugin for you.

Despite some of my blog post are photo-heavy, I do not want my blog to become slow. Prior to this issue, I have installed Autoptimize plugin for my blog. It helped to optimizing my site and improve my blog performance. So far, everything is great.

Instagram Slider Widget

I love my Instagram. Probably too much that I spend almost every hour of my day scrolling and tapping the love button. It’s a place for inspiration for me. Plus, I also love my own IG despite the lack of feed arrangement and curated content. Excuses? 1) I think curated feed is so outdated, I want raw and originality 2) I’m lazy AF. So, what’s a better way to show off my Instagram than adding an extra plugin to my blog. Good promo value, no?

Re-add text underline and justify

This is the only thing that I never ‘get it’ for WordPress – why the heck they remove the text underline and justify? It’s very important, especially for people like me. The kind who cares too much about justified text on a draft nor blog post. I have installed this plugin for my sanity. Bless you Brice Capobianco – the developer who created the plugin.

Yoast SEO

I have been playing with my blog SEO for awhile now. Not only it will help to increase the search result pointing to my blog but it also helps me tremendously in creating my content. How? Yoast SEO hates long paragraph etc. They want simple wording and paragraph for better readability. How great it is? Free blog post examiner before I hit the publish button. Oh yes please.

Easy Google Font

This is honorary mention. Although my blog theme already equipped with typography plugin but I truly love this font plugin. It’s so darn easy to choose your own font without the need to crack your brain with CSS sheet or coding. If you are like me who love to change their blog font almost every day, then this is an amazing plugin for you. Alright, you are welcome.

My favourite is Social Warfare because the plugin enables me to use both Disqus and WordPress comment system.
