ALTHEA Milk Peel Cream Mask

Althea did it again! They just came up with the Petal Velvet Sunaway last month and now another new product in the market. The latest Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask came in cute 50ml bottle of white and blue with pump dispenser. It claim to be a gentle yet effective exfoliator while providing moisture and hydration to the skin. You probably be wondering how on earth a product that contains BHA & AHA can provide hydration, right?

Key Ingredients

  • Milk Protein Extract – Moisturize and strengthen the skin
  • AHA & BHA – Gently exfoliate away dead skin cells for smooth complexion
  • Kaolin – Detoxify and pull out impurities from the pores

Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask contain both the famous AHA & BHA extracts that act as gentle yet powerful exfoliator. The consistency transform from a clay form to whipped cream lather that whisk away dead skin to eliminate flakiness and promote smooth complexion. As mentioned in the product name, it also contain milk protein extract that help in hydration and revitalize the skin.

Here’s the thing – product that contain AHA & BHA tend to stripped away all the natural moisture from our skin. The reason why many people in skincare community suggested a heavy moisturizing step needed after applying any product that have AHA & BHA contents.  I think that adding MILK in the product is SUCH A GREAT IDEAS. Kudos to team Althea!

Anyway, without further ado, lets get going to what’s my thoughts and fairly first impression review based on my experience while using this product. Although, mind you, I’m currently integrating acid based product for my PM skincare routine and I’m not using the Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask everyday. I should say in any alternate day, around 3 times per week. So, I’m going to write my experience based on these alternate days of usage.

My Thoughts and Experiences

Alright, like every new product, I always feel skeptical. Don’t get me wrong, I have a fair share amount of product gone wrong and my face became a poor victim. To be honest, I try to distance myself from any AHA & BHA product because my skin did not react well with it previously and of course due to the lack of knowledge on handling this kind of product. Although I can say that I’m more well prepared now with the knowledge that I have gain from beauty community. Below are my first impression plus experiences that I can listed into pros and cons:

  • I like the cream texture – it look exactly like my clay mask except it can easily be distribute onto the skin
  • I like the milky fragrance
  • Super love the tingling sensation – a multiple tiny massage for my beloved skin
  • Lather up nicely
  • Even though this product contain AHA & BHA, skin doesn’t feel too dry
  • Skin feel fresh and clean after wash, also smell so nice!
  • Product does not irritate my sensitive skin – a huge yay actually!

  • I hate pump dispenser because sometimes it doesn’t work. I have to pump few times before the product came out.

My Verdict

Since I did not use this Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask on a daily basis, I cannot say that my current glowing skin condition is a result after using this product. Although, I believe that this product may somehow help in improving my skin condition. On a day where I wore tons of make up and needing an extra TLC, I totally dig this Milk Peel Cream Mask.

Will I recommend this product? Of course. If you would love to try something new and latest trend in skincare, definitely give this product a go. You would not be dissapointed. I bet you even like the tingling surprise!
