Hello and happy Wednesday all! Today I’m going to write a review about the teeth whitening kit by the popular Australian’s brand – Carbon Coco. Carbon Coco company strive to provide all natural alternative to oral care including their most sought after Charcoal teeth whitening kit. Seeing some Youtuber trying to brush their teeth with the black powder definitely intriguing and somewhat weird. I mean, how on earth the black powder can make your teeth whiter?
Earlier in January, Carbon Coco has reached out to me for blog collaboration and I thought “why not”. Carbon Coco sent me their famous and best seller product – the Ultimate Carbon kit. It came with 1 x activating charcoal toothpaste, 1 x activating charcoal tooth polish, 1 x toothbrush with bamboo bristles, 1 x small pouch with printed Carbon Coco and a card of product instruction.
The Ultimate Carbon Kit
Pitch-black powder to whiten your teeth? Yes! Activated charcoal is the secret ingredient. It’s an oxidized version of charcoal and can be used to effectively whiten teeth. It removes external stains from your teeth without the toxic chemical ingredients used in commercial tooth whitening. This tooth whitening promotes good oral health and can change the pH in the mouth, helping to reduce things that cause cavities, gum disease and bad breath. Carbon Coco is a 100% Natural Teeth Whitener. It naturally whitens teeth, polishes teeth, strengthens enamel and detoxifies your mouth without any chemicals and added nasties. What’s in it? 100% Organic Coconut Shell Activated Charcoal with a hint of bentonite powder and lemon myrtle. – Carbon Coco Web

For Activated Charcoal Tooth Polish: Simply dip a wet toothbrush into the fine, odorless and tasteless black dust. Brush in small gentle circles for two minutes. Spit it out carefully, rinse really well and you’re done.

This tooth paste reduces bacteria build-up by up to 90 percent for 12 hours and penetrates deep between teeth to fight bacteria plaque. Brush in small gentle circles for two minutes. Spit it out carefully, rinse really well and you’re done. Your mouth will feel amazingly clean.
My experiences and thoughts while using this kit
First of all, let me briefly explain that I have never use any whitening kit apart from the Colgate Total brand. Plus, my teeth are not white because I’m a hardcore Coffee and Tea drinker. I drank Coffee/Tea minimum 2 cups a day. So, I definitely have a superior stubborn yellow stain on my teeth. My first impression of brushing my teeth with the tooth polish was “yuck” and its claim to be superfine powder yet I can feel the grain being push and hurting my gums! However, it no longer hurt after the 4th day. Or perhaps because I switched the toothbrush for my regular electric toothbrush. Yay!
I didn’t see any difference instantly but toward the 6th day I have noticed that my teeth are not so yellowish even after I gulped 2 cup of Coffee. I believe that the toothpaste really help to prevent further staining on my teeth. Also, it’s free from fluoride which I may add as another bonus. It is because when my eczema flare up, the fluoride in my toothpaste always make it worst. Since it’s made from organic product, it definitely suitable for those who allergic to certain chemical that exist in regular toothpaste.
So, is it worth it?
Even though it was not instantaneous result, but I really enjoy using this kit because it does makes me feel clean and more confident to smile. Its does makes my teeth a little bit whiter than before and I love it. However, the price for this kit was a turn off; at least for me. Especially if I have to convert my currency MYR to USD as it’s very expensive. Though, I didn’t mind to spend an extra dollars on the product that have better quality guarantee. Will I purchase? Yes, for the tooth polish but unfortunately nope for the toothpaste. Also, all Carbon Coco products are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free! So, it’s a fifty-fifty.
Have you try any teeth whitening kit? What are your thoughts about it?
