Hey babes! Today I will be sharing my 2019 bullet journal setup and my January spread. 2019 is going to be a really busy year and I really need a systematic yet minimal effort of planner. Of course I could buy the planner but I thought since this year will be extra special, I have decided to do my own. The flexibility of bullet journal always attract me. I’m using a very cheap bullet journal notebook which I bought from Shopee last year. I will be sharing my essential in my next post so keep an eye for it.
I try to keep everything minimal and intentional this year. Hence, my bullet journal setup is no nonsense too. I keep everything as simple as possible. Usually for the first 4 pages, I will left the pages blank for any future logs or index (which I often didn’t bother).
Using the gold color sticker that I got from my little brother, I stick the 2019 on my first page and simple monthly calendar for the year with important birthday dates. Its good to have reminder apart from your Facebook remind you about birthdays.
The next page is my 2019 goal or intention (Sorry babes, it’s too personal so I won’t be sharing it online) with my trackers. I also set up a write, read and watch trackers throughout the year. ‘Write’ is specifically for my blog while ‘read’ is the books (or in my case, e-books) that I read that particular month. While ‘watch’ is either movie or series that I watched that month.
JE x FM Special Setup
This is the special pages that I have setup for all the wedding related planning, budgets and whatnot. Its helped to keep everything, from daily planning to special event planning in one place so I can bring the journal anywhere I want. Which also make it easier for me to check and refer certain info, anytime and anywhere (except during work meeting, of course)
I also use this bullet journal to track our planning progress and any upcoming task to be settle before the deadline. i.e Pre-wedding photoshoot and Pre-Marriage course etc. It does helped a lot with my anxiety when I have everything written down on my planner. Also the main reason why I haven’t turn into bridezilla yet.
January 2019 Setup
For the first month of 2019, I didn’t do any fancy artsy design. I keep things to minimal and its work well with me. I setup a simple goal for the month, habits tracker and my weekly spread. As mentioned earlier, nothing fancy but I really love it.
This where I write down all the important things. A deadline or things to do. While the more detail info will be written on my weekly spread.
Normally I used about 2 pages for my weekly spread. I’m thinking to cut down to 1 page only but I’m still thinking on the arrangement because I really like to write down mundane daily tasks on my journal. So, if you have any ideas on the weekly spread, please share!
My 2019 bullet journal consist of:
- Yearly Calendar
- Goal/Intention for the year
- Yearly Mood tracker
- Monthly Spread – Goal, Monthly Calendar, Weekly Spread and brain dump/ideas
- Wedding planning special page – Checklist, Mood Board/Theme, Budgets, List of planning/things to do
I guess that is all for my 2019 bullet journal and January spread. I truly hope all of you enjoy this kind of post and I plan to share my monthly spread as motivation for me to keep this bullet journal system. Till then x
