Happy New Year 2018 everyone! Inhale fresh and positive vibes to start this brand new year and exhale all the negativity from previous year. I had wonderful celebration last night in my room with Coffee and movie while waiting for the clock to strike 00:00. I also started my 2018 journal with writing on my goals, expectation and challenge that I would love to take up this year. So, I thought it will be awesome to share my goals for 2018 as my first blog post of the year.
Only positive vibes allowed
These past few years, I have decided to keep this “Positive vibes only” as my lifetime goal. The main reason why I want only positive and good vibes in my life because I’m an empath and easily affected by bad vibes. Thus, it is very important to ensure that I will only absorb good vibes to avoid anxiety or depressions relapse.
Practice Intentional and Mindful living
I know 2018 is going to be one hell of a busy year. What with the transition period at work place and lots of upcoming happy social and family events. As I do not wish to spend most of my time competing by fulfilling the busy lifestyle, I need to practice more intention and mindfulness in my daily life. By being mindful, it will also help me to reduce some stress away and increase my productivity. I really hope by practicing this lifestyle, I will have all the time divided wisely for myself, my love one, family and friends and also my career.
Setting up my priorities
Toward the end of 2017, I have change my priorities into goals that are going to improve my future mental health and also my family. If these past two years, I was sort of fearless and not afraid to try something new, this year I will be more happier with slowly improving my life stability with my family and love one. Thus, I hope that my friends will be more understanding if I ever said NO to some invitations or travel plan as my priority has shifted to other plan.
Schedule self care routine
Being busy taking care about other often make me neglected my own self. For 2018, I must segregate time, either weekly and monthly for my own self care routine. It could be as simple as manicure or pedicure session or even a Cafe’ date by myself. The choices could be endless.
Weekly gratitude list
By writing down a list of things that I’m grateful for has helped me a lot during my down period. Whenever I was about to fall into the slump of anxiety and depression’s relapse, I will take out my journal and began to write all things that happened which I am extremely grateful for. This method works like magic to me as I began to feel more calm as happiness from being content and grateful slowly pouring into my mind.
Create more, Consume less
I love to explore more creativity in 2018. I want to create more beneficial content in my blog and do more DIY projects. Other than that, I want to continue living as aspiring minimalist. I hope I can continue my de-cluttering projects and only keeping things that bring joy in my life. Moreover, I would love to explore and try the capsule wardrobe this year. Any advise for newbie trying capsule wardrobe, ladies?
Last but not least, here’s to more positive and healthier life in 2018. May we strive well and never give up on all our goals plus resolutions for this year. Good luck and most importantly, love life and live life!
